    Group 1 or Mailstream is the process through which labels or letters are generated through the University mainframe computer.  This allows the use of window envelopes and address information to be personalized.  The main use is for bills, grades and other information that is kept on the mainframe.  For further information, please contact Mail Service Center (MSC).  There is a 5¢/piece charge for this service.

The fees associated are:

•     $0.05/piece for any pieces that Mail Services Processes

Step 1:    Contact MSC to discuss mail piece design and processing before going to print.

Step 2:    Send over 10 mail piece samples to get a Mailstream Job #   

Step 3:    Fill out Bulk Mail Job # Request Form on MSC website to receive a MS Job #. 

•     This should be done no more than ten days prior to expected mail date.  The MS Job # is used to identify and match the bulk form to mailing lists and mail pieces.

Step 4:    Deliver mail pieces to MSC with all paper work generated by computer services.
